Oh my God, though a big fan of summer, even I can not resist the temptation of Whitepod Hotel. Situated in the Swiss Alps, the hotel is comprised of 15 geodesic domed pods. Overlooking Lake Geneva, the guests of the hotel have access to 3 private ski lifts which can be operated 24 hours a day upon request and 7 kilometers of exclusive trails.
New York City’s Grand Central Terminal turns 100 years old next year, and the milestone is being celebrated with a new logo, created by Michael Bierut and Joe Marianek of design firm Pentagram.
The hands of the clock are positioned at 7:13, or 19:13 in trainmaster’s time, which is the year the terminal opened. The logo will continue to be used, with “100 Years” and dropped after 2013.
The design team at Pentagram has built a marketing campaign centered around the word “Grand.” See examples of the campaign in the gallery below.
